Picture Editor

I was very happy to be chosen to be picture editor for the last news day. I wanted to be on the editorial team, and as I hadn't done this role yet, I was pleased.

The role itself was easier than I thought. I think I was lucky that most of the journalists used images in their stories that were original or free to use.

Preparation
This role was quite straightforward, but I made sure I was prepared. I double checked on the Solent Portal for the style guide which included information about images. After a few stories I knew that information off by heart which made the role easier. A lot of the teams had uploaded images that were too small, but after going and asking for another larger image, everything was fine.
